(FreedomBeacon.com)- Kash Patel, a former Defense Department official during the Trump administration, revealed that being subpoenaed to testify before House Speaker Nancy’s Pelosi’s extremist and partisan January 6 special House committee led to him receiving racist death threats.
When January 6 committee chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson announced last Thursday that Patel would be subpoenaed, the former Trump official was hit with a barrage of abuse. The New York Post revealed the disturbing nature of many of the messages sent to Patel.
One message called him a “treasonous b*tch,” while another called him a “sand monkey.”
And let’s be honest here – it’s not Republicans sending threats and criticizing Patel.
Another message showed how Democrat supporters are reveling in the fact that Pelosi’s committee is smearing Republicans everywhere.
“America is gonna chew you up and they’ll slice that f*cking sand monkey neck of yours in prison on day one,” the message said,
The unnamed sender complained about “old white racist Republicans.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi famously refused to seat Republicans on the committee if they were supportive of former President Donald Trump, proving her claim that the committee is “non-partisan” wrong. It also showed that the committee is founded on a contested narrative that former President Trump is guilty of inciting a violent insurrection on January 6.
Thompson claimed in a letter to Patel that he believes he is in possession of “documents and information relevant to understanding the role played by the Department of Defense and the White House in preparing for and responding to the attack on the U.S. Capitol.”
It’s a highly charged claim and, again, a contested one. The Department of Defense is not prepare for the “attack on the U.S. Capitol,” nor is there any evidence of this.
Is it any wonder Patel received threats like this when the government is inciting it?
